Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

rd2builds (“we,” “us,” or “this site”) is an independent, fan-made companion site for a dice-based mobile game. It is not produced, endorsed, or affiliated with the game's developer or publisher. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account, we collect an email address and a username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's email address and profile name via OAuth; if you use email/password sign-in instead, you provide the email and password directly (passwords are stored and verified by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password in plain text).

Content you create

Dice-tree builds, tier loadouts, and comments you save are stored under your account. Published builds and comments are public by design — they're meant to be shared via link and browsed by other visitors — so don't include anything in a build name, description, or comment that you don't want visible to anyone. Your own dice-tree unlock progress (used by the Planner to track what you've researched) is tied to your account and is not public.

Automatically collected information

Our hosting and infrastructure providers (currently Vercel and Supabase) automatically log standard technical data for security and reliability purposes — things like IP address, browser/device type, and request timestamps. We don't directly access or analyze this beyond what's needed to keep the site running and investigate abuse.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, grouped into two categories. You can choose which to allow via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

Necessary (always on)

  • Your sign-in session, so you stay logged in between visits.
  • Bot-protection tokens from Cloudflare Turnstile, shown on the email/password sign-up and sign-in forms.

These are required for the site's core functionality and can't be turned off individually.

Advertising & analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept non-essential cookies, we load Google AdSense to show ads that help support the site. AdSense may set its own cookies to serve and measure ads — see Google's advertising policy for details. We also use PostHog to understand how the site is used — which pages and features get used, where visitors run into trouble, and (for signed-in users) how people return over time. This includes session recordings of on-site activity (mouse movement, clicks, and page navigation) to help us see exactly where something is confusing, not to identify you personally; PostHog masks password fields automatically. If you choose “Necessary only,” none of this loads — no advertising script, no analytics, no recordings, and no related cookies are set.

How we use your information

  • To operate your account: sign-in, saved builds, and unlock-progress tracking.
  • To display public content (builds, comments) to other visitors as intended.
  • To moderate content and prevent abuse (spam, bot sign-ups, rate-limit violations).
  • To maintain and improve the site's reliability and performance.
  • To show ads, only if you've consented to advertising cookies.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third parties we use

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Google — OAuth sign-in, and AdSense (only after advertising-cookie consent).
  • PostHog — product analytics and session recordings (only after cookie consent).
  • Cloudflare — Turnstile bot protection on sign-up/sign-in forms.
  • Vercel — site hosting.

Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy in addition to this one. We only share the information necessary for them to provide their respective service to us.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email us at the address below — note that public content you published (builds, comments) may need to be removed separately if you want it taken down, since it's designed to be shared.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below and we'll do our best to respond promptly.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
